Santa Fé S.A. is a company with over 90 years of tradition in the sugar-energy sector, headquartered in Nova Europa, in the state of São Paulo. Founded in 1925 by the Magalhães family, the company was initially called Companhia Açucareira Itaquerê and was renamed after being acquired by Mr. Roberto Malzoni in 1972, becoming Usina Santa Fé Ltda., later transformed into a Closed Capital Corporation.

Today, Usina Santa Fé is recognized for its excellence in producing sugar and renewable energy. The company stands out for its innovative and sustainable approach, prioritizing environmental respect and social development. With a milling capacity exceeding 4 million tons, the company combines tradition and technology to supply the market with high-quality products, maintaining a continuous commitment to operational efficiency and sustainable growth.

1925

Our history began in 1925 in the city of Nova Europa, in the interior of São Paulo. At that time, the Magalhães family started the installation of a sugar mill called Companhia Açucareira Itaquerê, named in honor of the Itaquerê River, which crosses its lands.

1930

First sugar harvest

1972

In 1972, the Mr. Roberto Malzoni acquired 100% of the shares of Companhia Açucareira Itaquerê, which was then renamed Usina Santa Fé Ltda. and later transformed into a privately held corporation (S.A).

1978

Beginning of alcohol production (PRÓALCOOL)

2000

Itaquerê Development Institute

A project that works on social promotion, developing, advising and providing technical support for programs to assist children and adolescents.

2004

The financial statements of the Itaquerê Group begin to be audited by one of the “Big Four” auditing companies in the world.

2006

Implementation of the Entomology Laboratory

Biofactory for breeding parasitoids (Cotesia flavipes) to control the sugarcane borer and the entomopathogenic fungus (Metharizium anisopilae) to control the sugarcane root spittlebug.

2008

Installation of the new boiler, distillery and transformation into an agroindustry

Usina Santa Fé S.A. becomes an agroindustry as of March 31st1. The Itaquerê Group is now made up of Usina Santa Fé S.A. and Agropecuária Nova Europa S.A., which owns the group’s land.

2016

The Group makes investments and reaches a milling capacity of over 4 million tons.

2021

Commercialization of surplus energy from sugarcane bagasse

2024

Construction of the Sugar Storage Silo and expansion of milling and production capacity.
